Dr. Ian Kuah — Automotive Authority
An architect, professional test driver, graduate of the Jim Russell Racing School and national level race driver, Dr. Ian Kuah joined the UK automotive industry in 1983. Over 40 years assessing the design, engineering and chassis dynamics of pre-production test vehicles with Audi, BMW, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Volkswagen, he is a world-renowned authority on specialist manufacturers and the aftermarket tuning industry.
With Mercedes and Porsche as personal passions, he served as European Editor of Mercedes Enthusiast Magazine from 2001–2024, founding contributor to 911 & Porsche World, and European Editor of Excellence (US Porsche magazine) since 1996. He's authored five books on cars — most recently Porsche 918 Spyder for Porsche AG (2015).
He is currently Technical Director of the Porsche Owner's Club of Andalucía and was Chief Judge for the Costa del Sol Concurso de Elegancia from 2016–2024. He has also acted as an expert witness for Sussex Police in road traffic accident cases.
