With Purple Cars, you get absolute clarity.
The monthly price you see is the price you pay – no hidden fees or mandatory extras.
Included: upgraded 24/7 roadside assistance, taxes, and third-party liability insurance.
You only handle fuel and your damage protection choice: standard refundable deposit, or recommended Zero Excess (€3/day) – fully covered, no deposit.
No surprises – just straightforward rental.
Damages Deposit & Insurance Options
You have two options for covering potential vehicle damage:
Option 1: Standard Security Deposit
We will physically charge a refundable deposit to your card at pickup (no cash accepted):
- Runabout: €350
- Budget: €500 (manual) / €650 (automatic)
- Premium: €750
Option 2: Zero Excess Coverage (Recommended)
Add Zero Excess for €3 per day.
- Full coverage for accidental damage/theft (terms apply).
- No deposit required – nothing charged at pickup.
We recommend Option 2 for worry-free driving!
Drivers
- Main driver: included free.
- Additional drivers: €25 per month each (must meet age/license requirements and be added to the agreement).
Booking & Cancellation
- Book up to 180 days in advance.
- Secure your car by paying the full first month’s rental upfront.
- Cancellations more than 72 hours before pickup: full refund minus €48 admin fee.
- Within 72 hours or no-show: no refund.
Breakdown Assistance: RACE Policy
All our vehicles include upgraded 24/7 roadside assistance from RACE – a leading national provider.
What to do in the event of a breakdown:
- During office hours (Monday–Friday, 9 am–6 pm): Call or WhatsApp our helpline on +34 630 54 21 51. Please provide your car’s registration number.
- Outside office hours: Call +34 915 949 722 (press option 1 for RACE).
Important notes:
- Stay with the vehicle – Spanish law requires the driver to be present for assistance.
- The vehicle must be recovered to our designated service centre: Estepona Tyres, Calle Miguel Servet 2, Polígono Industrial, Estepona 29680. Other garages are not covered.
- A courtesy car may be provided after inspection (subject to availability).
ITV / Service Due: Ensuring Vehicle Roadworthiness
You will be informed of the vehicle’s ITV due date at pickup.
We will contact you 7 days in advance to arrange a convenient appointment and provide a courtesy car.
The ITV centre is government-run – we work around their schedule. Please drop the car to us the day before; we need it for at least 48 hours for checks and servicing.
Accidents & Reporting
In the event of any accident (however minor), call us immediately on +34 630 54 21 51.
Spanish law requires completion of the European Accident Statement form – we’ll guide you.
Air Conditioning & Regassing Policy
- Runabout Fleet: Air conditioning is fitted but regassing is not offered (due to vehicle age – reflected in the low price). Non-essential features are not guaranteed.
- Budget Fleet: Air conditioning as standard. Optional super-cold regass available at our service centre for €62.50 (appointment required, ~1 hour).
- Premium Fleet: Air conditioning fully maintained with regassing included.
Day-to-Day Fluid Management
Keeping fluid levels topped up (oil, coolant, washer fluid, etc.) is your responsibility.
Feel free to bring the car to our service centre anytime – we’re happy to help. Engine damage from low oil is not covered.
Payments
We accept all major debit and credit cards.
Monthly payments are securely processed via Stripe – your card is charged automatically each month.
What Documents Do I Need to Bring?
For a smooth pickup, please bring originals of:
- Your driving licence
- TIE/DNI (Spanish residents) or passport/ID card (non-residents)
- Proof of address where the car will be kept
General Rental Information
- Specialization: Long-term rentals only (30+ days).
- Fuel Policy: Return with the same fuel level (no refunds for extra fuel). Correct fuel type is highlighted in your paperwork.
- Speeding / Parking Fines: Full fine + €34 admin fee will be charged to your card. Fines are reissued in your name – disputes must be with the issuing authority.
