Runabouts are our oldest, highest-mileage cars. They’re a straightforward option for short local trips when you simply need a car to get from A to B (school run, shopping, quick errands).
Best for: short local journeys, lowest-cost option, basic transport needs.
Important to know before you book
- These are older, higher-mileage vehicles
- They may have noticeable wear, and some features may not work
- Basic spec — they typically do not include sat nav or Bluetooth
- Not designed for long-distance driving — please keep Runabouts within a 150 km local area

The monthly price you see is the price you pay – no hidden fees or mandatory extras. Included: upgraded 24/7 roadside assistance, taxes, and third-party liability insurance.
You only handle fuel and your damage protection choice: standard refundable deposit, or recommended Zero Excess – fully covered, no deposit.
No surprises – just straightforward rental.
Important Rental Information
Driver requirements
- Minimum rental age: 21 years old (age limit is at our discretion)
- Must have held a full driving licence for at least 2 years
Insurance options
- Standard cover (with deposit): €350 security deposit
- Zero Excess cover (no deposit): €3/day and €0 security deposit
Deposit timing & return
If you choose Standard cover, the security deposit is taken from your card at the start of the rental and returned within 14 business days after the end of the rental contract (subject to the vehicle being returned in line with the agreement).
